Kanban Board
The kanban view organizes deals into columns by stage: Inquiry, Test Drive, Negotiation, Reserved, Agreed, Documentation, Won, and Lost. Each card shows the vehicle, customer, and deal value. Drag cards between columns to advance deals through stages. The kanban view is best for visualizing your entire pipeline at a glance.
List View
The list view shows deals in a table format with sortable columns: vehicle, customer, stage, value, assigned to, and last activity. This view is better for searching and filtering large numbers of deals, and for exporting deal data.
Deal Stages Explained
Inquiry: initial interest expressed. Test Drive: customer is viewing or test-driving the vehicle. Negotiation: discussing price and terms. Reserved: the vehicle is held for this customer — from here on no other deal can claim the same vehicle. Agreed: the final price has been agreed. Documentation: paperwork in progress (finance, insurance, registration). Won: final payment and handover are done and the deal is complete. Lost: deal fell through.
Pipeline Filters
Filter deals by branch, assigned salesperson, and search text. In kanban view, filters apply across all stage columns. Use filters to focus on a specific branch's pipeline or see only your own deals. The branch selector in the header also affects which deals are shown.
Common questions
- Can I drag deals between stages on the kanban board?
- Yes, drag and drop deal cards to move them between stages. The stage change is saved automatically and logged in the deal's activity history. Some stage transitions may trigger notifications to managers.
- How do I create a deal without a lead?
- Click 'New Deal' and fill in the customer information directly. While converting from a lead preserves communication history, you can create deals manually for walk-in customers or repeat buyers where a lead wasn't previously logged.
- What happens to a vehicle when a deal is created?
- The vehicle status can be changed to 'Reserved' when a deal is in negotiation or documentation stages. This prevents other salespeople from selling the same vehicle. If the deal is lost, the vehicle returns to its previous status automatically.
