Inventory KPIs
Key inventory indicators: total active stock, average age in days, stock turnover rate, and inventory value. These metrics help you understand how efficiently your capital is being deployed. A healthy dealership maintains low average aging and high turnover.
Inventory Health
Inventory health combines multiple signals: aging distribution (what percentage is over 60/90 days), recon completion rates, and stock-to-sales ratio. Green indicators mean healthy operations; yellow and red flags need attention. Click any indicator to drill down into the underlying data.
Pipeline Health
Pipeline health shows: total active deals, conversion rate (leads to deals to sales), average time in each stage, and deal value by stage. Healthy pipelines have deals moving through stages steadily without getting stuck. Deals stalled in one stage for too long should be reviewed.
Financial Summary
Overview of financial performance: total revenue, total costs, gross profit, and average margin. Compare current period to previous periods to spot trends. The financial summary gives owners a quick answer to 'how is the business doing?'
Common questions
- How often are the KPIs updated?
- KPIs are calculated in real-time when you load the report. They reflect the current state of your inventory, deals, and payments. There is no delay or caching — what you see is always current.
- What is a good stock turnover rate?
- For independent used-car dealers, a turnover rate of 8-12 times per year is considered healthy (selling your entire inventory equivalent every 30-45 days). Below 6 indicates slow-moving stock that needs attention. Above 12 suggests you could carry more inventory to meet demand.
